Hello Readers!
I'm so excited, project number one is complete! Due to the dropping in temperatures, I decided to give one my sweaters a makeover...which one shall I choose... I found this random sweater in the bottom of my winter clothes tub, and it was a 3X...don't know how or why its in there but it is perfect for my sweater makeover!!! Below is the picture of how the sweater looks pre-makeover if you will...
With a seam ripper I, took off the bottom bungy fabric, as well as the ones attached at the ends of the sleeves. I also took off the pockets using the seam ripper as well. To save time I cut with scissors, the zipper. I left the hood as is, but I took out the string, you can leave the string if you want, I personally feel I never use the string and only worry about it being uneven all the time. Next I tried it on, to see how small I need to make it. I cut the sleeves and sides accordingly. After all the cuts I sewed everything together.
Then I decided to add some buttons instead of putting another zipper on. I measured where each button and where the slots would go as well. I put 3 buttons but you are welcome to put more, or even add the zipper!
Yay!!! And now I have a new cute sweater!!! Thanks for reading...tune in tomorrow for a new project!
Thanks, Jess out!
